An education organization is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. Looking for a candidate who can come in and process biweekly payroll for about 200 employees using ADP. Additionally, you will be responsible for data entry and handling retirement reconciliations (previous experience is not required). The ideal candidate has 3 years of payroll processing experience, has used ADP, and has a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages through direct deposit or check issuance
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the payroll system

- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and regulations
- Proficient in using payroll software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and account reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
